Hey there darlings
If you’re following me on any of my social accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter), you probably know that I recently came back from Rock Werchter festival in Belgium. It took me so long to get back in business after such a great vacation, but now it’s time to share it with you.
So first of all I want to say that I had such A FUCKIN GOOD TIME in this festival. I’ve been in so many awesome concerts, and seeing some of these artists was like a dream coming true to me. Musicians like Muse, Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy and so many others made sure to make this festival unforgettable. Now since the festival season is still on and running, I thought I might be able to give you some tips on how to dress for festivals, since many pictures you will see online might be misleading. So unless you are in the VIP zone, you might really wanna take a look at these tips:
1 – Sandals: they are a really cool summer item and can work wonders for festivals styles, but if you wanna keep all your toes, do not wear them to concerts. The thing is, concerts are super crowded and there’s a big chance someone (or many of them) will step on your toes. Now we all know that might be really painful if you’re wearing closed shoes, let alone bare toes. However, sandals can be fine at the camping sites since they’re not as crowded.
2- Be prepared for rain\mud\both: Weather can be mean, which means you need to have rain boots, raincoat and a warm cardigan or jacket for colder weather. Make sure the sweater\jacket is not too stiff so you can wrap around your waist and dance and enjoy your time without having to worry about where to put it or how to hold it.
3- Do not wear dangling jewelry in your ears or you belly button! Remember the crowded thing? Great, so imagine your jewelry getting stuck on someone’s hair\shirt\bag etc. “Outch!” is an understatement. But I think it’s OK if you have dangling jewelry that are not connected INSIDE your body parts, like necklace or belt or bracelets. Even if it gets stuck, it won’t hurt much.
4- Wear comfortable shoes: Remember, you’re in that festival to have fun, not to suffer. Your feet are holding the rest of you and you’re walking from one concert to another, dancing, jumping and whatever. It’s an all day and all night party, so treat your feet right. Make sure to grab some comfy and stylish boots and get ready for rock n’ roll.
5 – If you’re camping or if your luggage space is limited, don’t panic. Just mix and match! Pack few festival items that can work in different ways together and wear them differently every time. You can also pick a basic outfit (like shorts and tank top or t shirt) and combine them with a wow-’em item that will make the whole difference. Don’t forget to use accessories!
6- HAVE FUN!
I hope I could help make your festival dressing easier. Don’t forget to share your thoughts with me via comments, or share on social channels if you liked my tips.
